sk.ODE
It's official. I can't use other people's scripts. There's always some little problem with them; they don't use functions, they don't indent properley, the database schemas are crap... something. So, I write a lot of my own; most of my websites run on custom script backends. A lot of them are so customised that they really wouldn't be useful for anything other than what they were created for, but some are more multifunctional. Hence sk.ODE, the very unwittily-named script distribution site, where some of these more useful scripts will be housed for download.
The Name
All sk.ODE scripts start with an 'sk'. This is something of a legacy naming convention; back before I had the domain void-star.net, my blog was located at synthetickiss.com, aka. 'sk'. Back in these days I was beginning to develop my weblog/domain content management webware script. I needed a catchy name for it; because it was the 'log for sk.com, it became sk.log. The prefix has sort of stuck.
The Coder
Dee is a Computer Science graduate currently working as a low-level government clark. She has been coding web scripts in PHP/MySQL for around four years. Her first PHP work was on the crescent community system back when it was being developed for grep SailorMoon *. The very first PHP script she ever wrote for herself was a version of the 'linker' script now included with sk.log; she wrote it because one of the 'trendy' sites of the time had one and was only sharing the script with other 'trendy' sites. Dee has never been into retarded shit like that; she has written other codes for similar reasons. Such a smartass.
Contact
Dee can be contacted via void-star.net for help with scripts, bug reports, suggestions, or whatever. Tell her you're using one of her scripts and she'll link you... or something.
Credit
I'm not a big anal-retentive that will insist you have to
link back to sk.ODE if you use one of my scripts... However
it would be nice (and may influence whether or not I could be
bothered to help you if you need it). If you do so, please link
back to this site (http://skode.void-star.net), rather
than the main vs.net collective.
Please feel free to modify and/or redistribute my scripts if you feel the need, however I would like some credit as the original creator.
